I and my colleagues at CHR believe in working by referral. Doing so allows us to focus on our clients and their needs before, during and after closing a real estate transaction. Purposely, the bulk of our business comes from past clients and friends who refer us to the important people they know.
I love the concept of working by referral because it has so many benefits for every type of consumer:
- Hire a person or company that has a proven track record in providing quality services to others that we know and trust;
- When a person or company is focused on getting business by referral they are focused on providing phenomenal execution on the task for which they are hired;
- There is more accountability — the person or company wants the customer or client to be happy so they will refer future business, and the person who referred the person or company to also be happy that they did the referral.
How does this apply to you and your home ownership?
We have a really cool online “app” in our office. Everyone in the company can enter information into the system about product and service providers they know and trust. These are people and companies that have done excellent work for us and clients over the years. Plumbers, Electricians, Roofers, HVAC, Painters, Appraisers, Movers, Carpenters, Inspectors, Tilers, General Contractors — you name and it’s probably there.
Have specific work you want done on your place? Don’t know someone in the professional trade? I can look in the “app” to find a bunch of talented people for you to interview.
Not only do I want you to refer me to other great people like you, I want you to get the advantages or “working by referral” too!
